B'News: From Mexico City to Lima, this month’s Web3 route

Since our last edition, a lot has happened. Here is a recap of the past three months, with highlights from GIVE Colombia Medellín, Código Alebrije México, and Stellar House CDMX.

The impact of GIVE Colombia 🇨🇴

Stellar's GIVE program connects ecosystem partners with local communities worldwide. This year, it took place in Medellín, Colombia, with the participation of ambassadors from various parts of LATAM. Together, they worked to build two solutions for the Interactuar Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting small local businesses. This process was carried out with the guidance and development support of the ACTA and Trustless teams, alongside specialized mentors from the SDF (Stellar Development Foundation).

The teams created verifiable credentials to demonstrate the impact of loans and track their performance. Additionally, they launched a crowdfunding initiative to create community-backed microcredit funds, featuring escrow-style transparency controls.

The culmination of the Código Alebrije program

Hack+ Alebrije was the flagship event of the Código Alebrije program, held in Mexico City (CDMX) in late March. Around 200 builders gathered there—with a strong local Mexican presence alongside builders from across LATAM—to compete in the Genesis and Scale tracks. The winning projects were Mañana Seguro, Seyf, and Gibbor, who then advanced to the final phase of the program to pitch their ideas at the Stellar House CDMX.

What happened at the Stellar House CDMX 🇲🇽

The third edition of Stellar House aimed to bring together, in one place, the most promising voices in the ecosystem. It featured Denelle Dixon, CEO of the Stellar Development Foundation, José Fernández da Ponte, Daniel Vogel, and other influential leaders. There were also sessions that explored and discussed the role of the crypto world in shaping new global finance. During the event, standout projects from Hack+ Alebrije—ACTA, Accesly, Zelena, Polar, and Piggy—had the opportunity to present their ideas to leading voices in the Stellar ecosystem and investors.
